Offering a Document Imaging Service

I thought that I would be safe from getting laid off due to the recession that the economy has been experiencing, but as it turns out, I was wrong. You see, my job as a salesman of high volume scanners was one of the many cut in the company that I worked for in their efforts to maintain profitability.
So, for the first time in fifteen years, I found myself without a job. At first it was pretty neat not to have to go to work in the morning, and I did spend a couple of days sleeping in and enjoying the time off. But, I knew that it wouldn’t last since there were bills to pay and children to feed, not to mention that my savings wouldn’t last more than about six months. I really needed to get off my butt and do something.
I thought that this would be a great opportunity for me to do what I had always dreamed of - work for myself. I decided to start a business offering a document imaging service to local businesses since there was no one in that niche. It would also be a business that would utilize my skills that I had learned while being employed for the past fifteen years, so I figured that I should have an edge.
I have everything in place, and I will start working on getting some clients on Monday. Though I am scared, I know that this business will succeed and will provide my family with the lifestyle that we have always wanted. I definitely have a good feeling about this….
