Every year, I take my mini Schnauzer and dress him up in different costumes to do a seasonal calendar. I dress him as Santa for Christmas, Uncle Sam for July. I even put him in a little sash and a diaper for January. My husband thinks I’m nuts, but I think it’s a hoot!

One of the most fun things about little dogs is sneaking them into places where they’re not supposed to be, like parties or restaurants. Most people don’t mind a cute little dog even if they are eating and drinking.

I wasn’t a fan of little dogs for years. I thought they were too yappy and too stupid. But, after I met my friend’s mini Schnauzer, I was sold. It’s a great little dog and I want to get one, too.

Personally, I love little dogs. I live in an apartment and can’t have one of the large breeds, and I really love having a dog around. I wouldn’t trade my mini Doberman Pinscher for anything. She’s my best friend.

I have a soft spot for Schnauzers anyway, but I also like the minis. They’re pretty calm for little dogs with friendly personalities.
