Every Little Girl is a Princess

Parents of little girls share an understanding. While attempting to treat all children fairly, there is an evolution with daughters. They become princesses the minute they are born and by the time they become obsessed with the princess theme themselves; their parents have already accepted that a princess rules the house. The term “Daddy’s Little Princess” is a glowing example of the affection shown little girls in the family unit.
Everywhere you look, the princess theme is abundant. Stores sell shirts that advertise princesses, bedrooms are outfitted with tiaras and castles and movies capitalize on the subject, both in cartoons and for teens. The princess theme reinstates in American pop culture as movies and songs use the topic to portray girls desire to be swept off their feet by a handsome prince.
An area inundated with princesses is girls halloween costumes. Browsing through any local retailers or online, a mermaid costume turns a little girl into the Disney Princess Ariel. A cinderella costume doesn’t include the rags and broom from the storybook but the beautiful ball gown from the scene with the sparkling pumpkin carriage. While some girls may scoff at the notion of being a princess, check with their parents and at some point in their lives they’ve been the princess in their family.
