I like to date. I think that it’s fun to meet new people who do things that I have never done before. And I prefer dating to just meeting friends because frankly I like the good night kiss at the end of the meeting. But there are definitely drawbacks to dating. Like when you meet someone that you just wish you hadn’t.

The most recent one for me was a Washington DC dentist. And he wasn’t just any old DC dentist either. He was a Washington DC cosmetic dentist. Which I thought was kind of cool at first because I don’t know a lot about cosmetic dentistry and figured I could learn something new while meeting someone interesting.

That was until he started telling me that my mouth was in some serious need of Washington DC dental restorations. It was the first thing he said to me. Yes, really. He said, "wow, you’ve got a great smile but …". I really have no idea if he was trying to make a patient out of me or if he was just being honest or what but the fact that he immediately took issue with my mouth made me not too inclined to plan for that end-of-date kiss.
