Bonding Through Tattoos

My three friends and I are getting ready to graduate. Soon we will be spread all over the country as we leave college and go on to find careers, men, have babies, and whatever. So, to create a kind of bond between us, we decided we would all get a tattoo; the same tattoo so that we know there were at least three other women out in the world who had our tattoo. SImple, right? No. I started looking at heart tattoos because I thought it would symbolize the deep love of our friendship and all that. Lisa was considering sun tattoos because she said that it would make her happy to think about all of us and the great times we had. Shelly, a big “Lost” fan, thought we should all get tribal tattoos like we were our own special tribe. Good grief: can it really be that hard for four women to decide on a tattoo? You see really beautiful ones all the time: how hard can it be to decide on one? The more we discussed it, the worse the arguments got which was bad because at the time we were at a basketball game and probably disturbing everyone around us. Turns out we’re not getting tattoos after all.
