3 Things a Dentist’s Website Should Include

Every business should have a website — even a dentist’s office. Many people search for businesses online these days, and having a web presence ensures that potential patients can find you.

Here are 3 things a dentist ought to have on their website.

  • Location and hours. This is the most obvious thing, because a website is often how customers find a business. A visitor to your website needs to be able to quickly verify whether you are a dentist in Washington DC, or another area. Be sure to include, on a contact page or another page that is easy to find, your address, phone number, hours, driving directions, and perhaps even a picture of the building from the street or parking lot — to help first-time patients find you more easily.
  • The services you offer. A potential patient also needs to be able to quickly verify whether you offer the services he or she needs. For instance, if someone is looking specifically for teeth whitening in DC, they will want to know right away whether or not you can provide what they need.
  • A list of the insurance carriers you accept. Health insurance is a huge deal these days, because the vast majority of people cannot afford health care or dental work without it. Listing the carriers you accept quickly lets a potential customer know whether or not your office will meet their needs.

These things are the absolute minimum your website should have. You may also consider offering an about page with a profile for each dentist who practices out of that office; articles with information for patients on how to brush, floss, care for their braces, etc.; and anything else you think your patients might find useful.
