This helps to keep the symptoms of sleep apnea at bay. This is particularly important for the person with fibromyalgia because sleep apnea symptoms can worsen the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

Some people with sleep apnea consider getting surgery to solve the problem. If you also have fibromyalgia then you should know that surgery is riskier for you than it is for the average sleep apnea patient. It is probably better to stick with using your CPAP machine rather than to try to cure your sleep apnea with surgery because of the risks involved for you.

I subscribe to a few newsletters for freelance writers. Some are about marketing, and others have writing tips or ideas for how to build your writing career.

I’ll never forget what one of my favorite newsletters said one day. It was talking about creating a daily schedule that keeps you productive and energized, and one of the suggestions was to reward yourself at the end of the day with a hot bath instead of a quick shower.

I did exactly that the other day. I had some major deadlines I was trying to meet, so after a long day of working, I made sure to relax in a hot bath.

Our bathtub is a big, high-sided claw foot tub, and I’ve often wondered how kids and elderly people would fare trying to get in and out of it. I guess if we stay in the same house until old age, eventually we’ll have to think about what we want to do with that tub to make sure neither of us have accidents as we age. I love my hot baths and can’t go without, so I suppose when the day comes that I can’t step over the high side of a claw foot tub, I’ll have to consider investing in a walk in bath!

My best friend introduced me to an easy breathing exercise that I could do whenever I wanted to whether I was sitting, standing, walking or driving.  It involved breathing in though my nose and slowly exhaling out of my mouth while counting to ten.  She said it would help me to center myself and lower any feelings of stress or anxiety I may be feeling.  I tried it and was surprised at how quickly it helped me to calm my nerves and center myself.

I have since incorporated many other meditation techniques into my daily living but I still use deep breathing exercises on a daily basis to help keep me balanced and stress free.  The benefits of mediation are well worth the half hour of daily meditation.

We’re really looking forward to get started on the treatment so that in a year or two, we’ll have our own baby. It was great timing and luck to get the job and learn that there is a prominent place in Kansas City for fertility treatment. I have been a freelance writer, self employed and working out of my home, for just over three years now. Back when I first started, I started getting severe pain in my wrists and arms on almost a daily basis. The pain was concentrated in my wrists, but often traveled all the way up my arm into my shoulder. My pain management system consisted of Motrin and heating pads kept on the most painful areas as often as possible, day and night.

Luckily the problem went away after a while. Maybe my muscles got used to the minute movements of typing and directing a mouse, or maybe I just got better at unconsciously preventing RSI. In any case, I’m sure eventually it will resurface on more of a regular basis again, and at that point I will need to look into effective chronic pain management.
