The Queen of Gift Baskets

When it comes to gift baskets, my friends all consider me to be the queen. I always give out gift baskets if the occasion calls for a gift. And I always make sure that the basket is geared toward the person receiving it, and not simply a generic basket filled with stuff that the person may or may not like. Gift baskets for women are always easier, simply because most women like bath products, candles and chocolates, which are great to put into a basket.

Rather than simply write out a standard note, I always give out small thank you baskets when the occasion arises. They are always appreciated and so easy and quick to do. A couple of things in a small tin or storage box that can be reused is a great gift idea.

Whenever my husband needs business gift baskets done up for his clients, he always gets me to do them up for him. While these tend to be not quite as personal as the ones for friends and family, they are still geared toward the people receiving them. A travel coffee mug with my husband’s company logo, a really nice pen and a couple of notepads work perfectly.

Bull bars are the new hit for truck owners

Like with all things in the car industry, people love to play copycat. If somebody has something cool, then other people are going to copy it. This is what happened with lots and lots of truck accessories in the past, and it looks like things are setting up for it to happen again to a hot, new product. So what is this new thing that every truck is going to be sporting in the not-so-distant future? Don’t be surprised if you see something known as a bull bar on a truck or two.

Why do people love the bull bars all of a sudden? It really comes down to the fact that they are really nice in a multi-purpose sense. They can do lots and lots of things for your truck, helping add both value of functionality to it. Truck owners are slightly predictable in their style. They like things to look somewhat rough and tumble, and bull bars certainly take care of that for them. But it is not their look that makes the bull bar a real draw. It is, instead, the fact that bull bars can really do it all that makes them such a hit among truck owners.

Proper Flow Makes Paper Profits Grow

There is a local paper mill in Lynchburg, VA run by Mead. Products such as notebook paper, note cards, sticky notes, pencils, and even poster board are all made at the plant. In order to keep production going, the machines in the plant must run at peak efficiency and in order to do so, the machines must be properly lubricated.

What is the importance of properly running lubrication systems in paper machines? Today’s new paper machines are faster than machines of the past. Machine bearings can dramatically overheat, causing machine shutdown. When this happens, production falls behind, deadlines can be missed, and the company loses money in the process.

The only way that the bearings can be cooled inside these machines is flowing oil. Devices such as an oil flow monitor help to ensure that oil is flowing at such a rate to keep things cool. Improper flow measurement can lead to not enough oil flowing through the machine and as a result the components superheat.

It is amazing that something as small as flowing oil is the key to keeping a multi million dollar machine running. I’m glad I am not the person that has to do the oil change in those machines.
